“Those who are free of resentful thoughts surely find peace.”
We spent an overnight at Y2 Residence Hotel to do a review of this hotel and we can say that it was beyond our expectations. This newest boutique hotel, that is right at the center of the busy area of Makati Avenue – a 21-storey building, is a gem that is just waiting to be spotted by frequent travelers in the city. The ambiance is chic and just perfect for locals and foreigners alike.
For travelers who have little time to spend, Y2 Residence Hotel is a perfect location that is very much accessible to food, shopping and entertainment spots along the Makati Avenue. It also well sited just a few walks away from the newly opened Century City, a hip mall in Makati. And if you’re planning to stroll, Ayala Center and Rockwell Power Plant are few minutes drive away from Y2. The hotel is at the corner of Valdez and Santiago streets near Kalayaan, Makati Avenue. It’s conveniently affordable that even the snacks and drinks on their mini bar are easy on the pocket. We couldn’t resist that we had to open a can of Pringles because we can! Normally, you would not dare touch the mini bar unless you have that extra money.
But if you’re really tight on the budget, there are several convenience stores located near the hotel area. Affordable fast-food stores like Jollibee, KFC, Mang Inasal, Andok’s, and the likes are just a walking distance from the hotel. Not to mention also that the commercial hub A Venue is just a few steps outside Y2.
If you’re looking for Persian dishes, you might want to visit Benny’s Falafel, just beside the hotel.

Hotel staff are friendly as per our experience and they will readily answer on details when you ask for information of the hotel.
We were very satisfied during our overnight stay. Glad that we chose to reserved that booking for this review since we had a lot of events in Makati area and Y2 Residence Hotel was very convenient for us during that time. The fact that the hotel is situated in a busy area, we never experienced any noise or disturbance especially when we slept that night. The only thing that was missing that we did not try was the Amare Spa clinic.
